OK, what really pisses me off on "Survivor"

Survivor is a "reality" TV show. If you didn't know that, now you do. You can look it up online if you want to get the gist of it. There has been a bit of a recurring thing on that show that really pisses me off... now this might come as a shock to some of you, but it's the way that people pray on there. Yes, I am a Christian and I do pray. Last week, which was the first week here,(please no spoilers we are way behind over here) the older women's tribe was praying for their team to win, for their team member to come around the corner first... then, after they won, they all got in a group together and prayed again.

Is God concernedwith the older women on Survivor winning? What if the younger women start praying to win? Who side will he be on? How does he choose who's side to be on? Did God answer the older womens prayer and make the old lady beat the young bird?

My thoughts on why we pray and how I pray have changed a lot over the years. I'll write some more on this soon. I'll go over a few experiences that have changed my mind. This phenom. above is one of them. I've seen it in a lot of movies too. Where two sides of a war are praying to win. "Kingdom of Heaven" is a good movie for seeing that. The first time I prayed for one of my friends to win his cage fight I had a deep since that God isn't involved in deciding the outcomes of these things, other wise I'de go to the races and bet on a horse and pray pray pray and then be rich rich rich...

Hi.. So you think no one reads blogs huh?

This is a topic that interests me also, when you think about all the prayers that have been prayed in human history... for different, even contradictory things. For example, on the sigposts blog i read a post by a guy who said that he paryed the Lords prayer with his son be fore bed time.. then that same evening, I watched a documentary about the awful conflict in Liberia, and saw a group of teenage rebel fighters gather in a circle on their knees and pray the same prayer.. before going off to shoot at people.. one of them jumped up and started shouting "wheres the Rev.. wheres the rev..." I half expected your husband to materialise from somewhere!? : )

I look forward to hearing more of your thoughts..
