thoughts on the second group

This is my other thoughts on the second group (let's just say a redeemed second group), see if you can catch my drift;

Today I was thinking that we are one dimensional people. That we are the sum of our experiences. You won't know what it feels like to have your whole family killed before your eyes, unless it happens to you.

God is not us... (Surprise) God is not one dimensional.... He is multi dimensional... He is all knowing. So He knows what these things feel like, and has the heart that goes with it.

If God spared us from all the pain and suffering this world has to offer we would be pretty flat people not unlike the animation on South Park. Then what would happen? Men would still run their wars, and horrible things would still happen, but the "Christians” would be worthless for helping because they would lack the compassion, empathy and heart that comes out of suffering. The heart that is ready to carry the heart of God to His people.

And I'll reiterate something from an old post about choice... if becoming a Christian meant that you would never suffer again... would choosing God really be a choice?

And yes, I'm still over simplifying for the journey of this conversation...

Romans 5; 2-4
Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.
